Slavonia –
all-round service
Full service for SPIDI® facade systems
As a highly sought-after specialist for facade and ceiling systems, Slavonia also demonstrates its outstanding quality standards with a comprehensive range of services. That is why everything always starts with a detailed consultation.
Advice and planning support
If architects and house builders choose the SPIDI® facade system – visibly or invisibly fixed facades, photovoltaic facades, facade greenings or suspended ceilings – Slavonia can, if requested, provide four decades of know-how and experience during the planning phase. The experts at Slavonia can be asked to create planning documents or system drawings for the SPIDI® facade or ceiling systems, assembly plans, technical details such as AutoCad drawings, but also tendering documents and contract specifications.
Calculations and checks
Building facades are subjected to all kinds of weather, which they must withstand in the long term and without damage. Wind forces are the most significant factors. Various parameters determine how strongly they affect a building (and which areas they affect the most). These parameters include the building’s shape, height, orientation and location. That is why wind needs to be factored in during facade planning. The basis is provided by wind load calculations – a matter for the specialists at Slavonia.
Services from Slavonia also include other static and structural-physical calculations, and the company can also provide testable statics with an approval stamp.
The only thing that house builders or installation companies need to provide are the fully completed SPIDI® project enquiry form (checklist), elevation plans and the vertical cross-sections in .dxf or .dwg format. This will enable Slavonia to determine the best technical solution.
In focus: heat bridge loss
The heat bridge loss is particularly relevant in the context of facades. The focus lies on the most common wall brackets, which are made from aluminium because of the excellent conductivity of aluminium, and because of the resulting punctual heat losses to the wall.
Complex 3D calculations (according to standard EN ISO 10211) make it possible to identify punctual heat bridge losses caused by wall brackets. Upon request, Slavonia will conduct these calculations for the SPIDI® facade system in order to ensure compliance with the required thermal transmittance coefficient (U-value) and/or total thermal resistance (R-value). Simple 2D calculation methods (as per standards DIN EN ISO 6946 and DIN EN ISO 10211) are similarly used to determine linear heat bridge losses.
Various technical solutions – such as optimising the number of wall brackets per square metre or using materials with low thermal conductivity, such as steel or stainless steel – are designed to reduce such energy losses. The aim is also to ensure compliance with the thermal transmittance coefficient (U-value) limits specified by the country-specific heat insulation ordinances, or to comply with the increased thermal protection requirements of passive houses.
Training and instruction
Professional installation ensures that facade and ceiling systems are reliable and durable. That is why Slavonia offers training programs on SPIDI® facade system, conducts construction site instructions and dowel extraction tests, and helps with assembly planning and the clarification of technical details.
