Synthetic waterproofing membranes are an alternative to bitumen membranes. They are much thinner and can be installed in a single layer according to standards. Different types of synthetic waterproofing membranes are used in new builds and in renovations. As waterproofing membranes that are compatible with bitumen, neutral in terms of insulation, diffusible, with a high chemical resistance or acid resistance, they are suitable for a wide range of purposes.

Slavonia’s AUSTROFOL^® synthetic waterproofing membranes are high-quality PVC or TPO roofing foils for waterproofing buildings. PVC roofing membranes from polyvinyl chloride are enriched with softening agents, which makes them very flexible. TPO roof foils made from mainly polyolefins are distinguished by their robust material and low shrinkage.

To ensure that synthetic waterproofing membranes are indeed waterproof, the seams and connections must be executed with great attention. AUSTROFOL^® waterproofing membranes are characterized by the fact that overlaps are highly suitable for welding, and that seams can be joined safely. For reasons of ecology and environmental protection, no fungicides are used.
